Hi there! I'm Ismael Marín, a video game enthusiast for as long as I can remember. Since I was a child, I've been amazed by the narratives, characters and worlds that games create, and now, as a professional localizer with more than 10 years of experience, I've turned that passion into my career.
I have had the privilege of collaborating with some of the most important developers and publishers in the industry, adapting their works to the Spanish market. I pursued this path because I wanted to bring together my two greatest passions: video games and languages. My goal has always been clear: to help these universes reach new audiences who can enjoy them in their native language.
Video game localizer
I strongly believe that video games are much more than entertainment; they are a powerful tool for communication and learning that deserves to be accessible to everyone. If you're looking to bring your games to a new audience, I'm here to help you bring them to life in Spanish.
I have extensive academic training in translation and localization.
I graduated in English Philology from Universidad de Cádiz (UCA) in 2007, being my expertise English literature. I subsequently completed a Master's Degree in Translation and New Technologies at the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP) and the Instituto Superior de Estudios Lingüísticos y Superiores de Sevilla (ISTRAD) in 2012, qualifying as an expert in video game localisation and translation of linguistic variants.
I also often take courses and attend seminars and webinars on translation and localization to stay up to date with the latest trends in the industry.
